General Objective:

Engage in conversations on familiar topics with greater fluency and accuracy, using expanded vocabulary and more complex sentence structures. Begin to handle short, simple discussions in new or less predictable contexts while continuing to strengthen basic grammar skills.

Specific Objectives:

Listening:

• Understand straightforward conversations or narratives on familiar topics (e.g., hobbies, travel, or plans) when spoken clearly, even at a slightly faster pace.
• Identify the main ideas and specific details in simple audio materials, such as recorded dialogues, announcements, or interviews.

Reading:

• Comprehend slightly longer texts, such as short articles, personal letters, and stories, related to familiar or routine topics.
• Extract specific information and understand the general meaning of texts with more descriptive or sequential details.

Speaking:

• Use a range of simple sentences to describe experiences, give opinions, or explain plans with more detail and accuracy.
• Engage in short, semi-structured conversations, asking and answering questions to clarify information or share personal viewpoints.

Writing:

• Write short, coherent paragraphs about personal experiences, plans, or preferences, connecting ideas using basic linking words (e.g., and, but, because).
• Create simple messages, informal emails, or short descriptions with improved grammatical accuracy and a broader vocabulary.

Interaction:

• Participate in conversations on familiar topics, showing the ability to ask for clarification, agree or disagree politely, and respond to simple arguments or suggestions.
• Use functional language to handle everyday social situations, such as making plans, discussing options, or giving opinions with basic justification.
